Privacy policy

Last updated:

This website is a simple, static site. It does not use cookies, has no contact forms and does not ask you for any personal data.

Who is responsible

Giuliani Marco, P.IVA 02721100465, Lucca, Italy. You can reach me at info@marcogiuliani.dev.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across websites. It collects aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, the browser type and the country, which cannot be used to identify you.

Your theme preference

If you switch between light and dark mode with the button at the bottom of the page, the site saves your choice in your browser’s local storage, so it’s remembered on your next visit. It contains only the theme you picked and never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address. This processing is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Booking and email

If you book a call, you do so on Cal.com, which has its own privacy policy. If you send me an email, I use your address and message only to reply to you and keep our correspondence.

Under Art. 6 GDPR I may process your personal data:

a) Emails and bookings: to reply to you and take the steps you ask for before a possible contract.

b) Hosting and analytics: for running a secure, working website.

Who receives your data

I use a few service providers that process data on my behalf:

  • Cloudflare: hosting, analytics, and forwarding the emails sent to info@marcogiuliani.dev.
  • Google (Gmail): where I receive and keep my email.
  • Cal.com: booking calls.

These providers are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EU rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep your data

I keep emails and booking details for as long as I need them to handle your request, and delete them within 24 months of our last contact. If we work together, I keep the correspondence related to that work for as long as Italian tax and accounting law requires (currently ten years).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, to restrict how I use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. You can also object at any time to processing based on my legitimate interest. Write to info@marcogiuliani.dev. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
